Nine people, two weekends, one painting
A painting made with friends to celebrate my Chemistry PhD defense. We constructed a “paint cave” in which the floor, ceiling, and wall was our canvas. Throwing paint onto the ceiling and watching it drip onto the floor was an experience I’ll never forget. After the first weekend the piece was allowed to dry, and then was flipped over the next weekend, so that the floor became the ceiling and vice-versa. The resulting painting: “As Above, So Below” (84” x 270”)
